#How can I enter a float? 

Tickets can be purchased using our website beforehand, each individual person will be required to purchase a ticket if they want to take part in the float. 

#Do you provide crafts?

We don’t provide floats, see the post below for more information on the type of craft recommended.  

 

#What type of craft can I bring? 

If it is safe and suitable, we don’t mind what you bring. However, we have seen people turn up to our past event in swimming pools, kayaks and canoes, flamingos, giant inflatable ducks and pizza slices.    

#What are the age restrictions?  

Our current age restriction for the float is 12 years old. There is no age restriction for our entertainment or to spectate. 

#What additional equipment do you recommend bringing? 

Buoyancy Aids Wet and Warm Kit Sensible Shoes, Paddles Dry Bags Food & Drink (No Alcohol)Waterproof Camera or Waterproof Phone Case, Sun Cream/ Hat 

 

#What do I wear on the water?

Light clothing, dress according to the weather. Wetsuits will not keep you warm unless you are wet.

#Are toilets provided?

Yes, they are provided including disabled toilets.    

#Are there camping facilities nearby? 

Camping is available at Hereford Rowing Club, please book in advance to avoid disappointment.                                             

#Is there ticket availability on the gate?   

Yes, a small amount of tickets will be provided on the gate (Cash Only).    

                

#Are spectators allowed? 

Spectators are allowed within the events area for a small donation.    

                     

#What time do I need to be there? 

A time table will appear on the front page closer to the event.  

                                  

#How long does the float take?

Approximately 1.5 hours                      

                                                                      

#Do I need to walk back from the finish point?

No a shuttle bus service will be provided. However, if you choose to walk it take approx. 30 minutes.                                                                                                              

#Can I bring Alcohol Beverages?

Strictly no alcohol is to be consumed before or during the float. A bar will be opened after the last float ready for the after party to begin.

#Is there a free shuttle service?

Yes more detail will be added closer to the event.

#Is there a locker facility?

No locker facilities are currently planned. We will update you on this closer to the event. 

#Do I need to wear a wrist band?

Yes you will be allocated a colour wrist band on entry.

#Is there Security?

DUE TO INCREASED SECURITY MEASURES OUR LOVELY SECURITY STAFF WILL BE UNDERTAKING VIGILANT BAG CHECKS - PLEASE HELP US TO ENSURE WE ALL ENJOY A FUN, SAFE AND SECURE WEEKEND.

 

What am I not allowed to bring in the entertainment area?

  • Glass or Alcohol in the main arena

  • Unauthorised professional recording equipment

  • Portable laser equipment and pens

  • Drones

  • Fireworks, flares or Chinese Lanterns

  • Confetti Cannons

  • Unauthorised external generators (and strictly no petrol generators)

  • Fire pits, open fires or anything that will cause damage to the ground

  • Anything that could be reasonably considered for use as a weapon

  • Large sound systems
