A popular and well-established inflatable river and music festival, based in beautiful historic city of Hereford, United Kingdom. You will see individuals, families, stag groups or hens do's floating about in swimming pools or on giant pink flamingos. The float is just under 2 miles long and takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to complete. The route will take participants past the Old Bridge, Cathedral, Castle Green, King George V playing fields, Victoria Bridge, Bartonsham Dairy fields before the finish point which is located next to the Hereford Greenway cycle path.


START PARKING- Parking area for the start point is located at Hereford Rowing Club, HR4 0BE. This is a grass field with allocated parking spaces. £3 daily cost, first come first serve. Tickets are available to purchase from 9am Saturday 3rd August. You will be guided to the overflow car park once full. 

FINISH PARKING/ PICKING UP POINT- The road next to the finish point ( Outfall Works Road) is closed all day, so please avoid using this service road. We strongly recommend you to deflate your vessels and use the shuttle bus facility. Parking can be located a short walk from the finish point on Vincent Carey Road, Hereford, HR2 6FE. There is no cost for this area or time limit. But it is about a 15 minute walk to the car park. This will not be manned or sign posted so please plan before using it.

FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE: This will be in operation ready for when the first wave group reaches the finish point, and will be operational every 30 minutes. Please follow the sign posts as it is located approximately 3-4 minutes from the river bank.

  • All participants taking part in the float must be at least 12 years old.

  • Approved Buoyancy Aids must be worn by all under 18's. Over 18s are highly recommended.

  • If you are supervising anyone under the age of 16, make sure that you can see them clearly at a distance of at least 10m (If you wear glasses, please wear them during the event).

  • Ensure all your group can swim at least 25m, without any aids.

  • Please use the designated points to enter or leave the water.

  • Participants must remain in their crafts.

  • Alcohol is prohibited on the river to prevent any health risks or environmental damage.

  • Respect the surrounding areas - avoid dropping litter or leaving floats in the river.

  • Look out for other participants and call for help if required.

  • Avoid going through bushes, trees or anything which could cause your inflatable to pop or put yourself or others in danger.

  • Buoyancy Aids must stay on and should only be taken off once on a solid landing point.

  • Strictly no diving or jumping along the route.

  • Please do not pass the exit point, if you do pass it you do so at your own risk.

  • Please hand in any rubbish, including any unwanted vessels or inflatables.
