8th August 2025 – This will mark our 8th year running the festival, and we’re more excited than ever to celebrate with everyone!

The float starts at 12 noon – make sure you check in before 11 am.

The last chance to join the float is at 1:30 pm.

At 11:30 am, please bring your inflatables and gather in front of the main stage for a safety brief. Please don’t hang around the campsites or car parks at this time.

The bar closes at 11:30 pm, with last orders at 11:15 pm.

Dogs are NOT permitted to enter Hereford Rugby Club premises or the festival area, except guide dogs. The campsite allows dogs, but please consider the environment and weather. We cannot make exceptions due to the festival area being a sports pitch, no refund will be made.

There are no ATMs on-site, so we recommend bringing some cash with you for food, drinks, and merchandise.

Most vendors will also accept card payments, but it’s best to be prepared just in case.

At the end of the float, next to the shuttle bus stop, Hereford Scouts will be providing refreshments for a small donation – cash is appreciated here too.

Please plan your parking in advance and follow all event signage directing you to the designated parking areas. Carpooling is encouraged to help reduce traffic and congestion.

Yes – tent, motorhome, and caravan pitches are available for the festival weekend.

However, these must be booked directly through Hereford Rowing Club and are subject to availability.

Yes – portable toilets are available in the main event area, including a disabled-accessible cubicle.

Please be respectful and help keep the facilities clean for everyone. If you find that a toilet needs attention, report it to a member of the team as soon as possible.

The First Aid point and Lost Child point are located next to the main events area.

If you are away from the main site and taking part in the inflatable float, please alert a member of the river rescue team as soon as possible if assistance is needed.

We have a no-refund policy, which was implemented to help ensure the continued stability and success of the festival, while remaining fair to all attendees.

All float participants must arrive and check in by 11:00am at the latest.

The float begins at midday, and a safety briefing will take place at 11:45am in front of the main stage.

Please ensure you are ready with your inflatables and not in the campsites or car parks at that time.

The main event is open from 10am to 11:30pm.

All participants taking part in the float must be at least 12 years old.

Correctly fitted buoyancy aids must be worn by all under 18s, and over 18s should consider wearing them as well.

If you are supervising anyone under the age of 18, make sure that you can see them clearly at a distance of at least 10m.

Ensure all your group can swim at least 25m, without any aids.

Please use the designated points to enter or leave the water.

Participants must remain in their crafts at all times.

Alcohol is prohibited on the river to prevent any health risks or environmental damage.

Respect the surrounding areas - do not drop litter or leave your floats behind.

Look out for other participants and call for help if required.

Avoid going through bushes, trees, or anything that could cause your inflatable to pop or put yourself or others in danger.

Buoyancy aids must stay on and should only be taken off once on a solid landing point.

Strictly no diving or jumping along the route.

Please do not pass the exit point, if you do pass it, you do so at your own risk.

Please hand in any rubbish, including any unwanted vessels or inflatables.

Do not participate if you have any medical conditions which could be exacerbated or effect you during the float. Please speak to us before booking tickets.

Due to health and safety regulations, spectators are not permitted to access or view the float from the steps at Hereford Rowing Club. However, you are welcome to watch from the nearby riverbanks and bridges, which provide good vantage points.

As the festival includes both river activities and music performances, we recommend dressing comfortably for a mix of wet and dry conditions.

All float participants must wear suitable footwear before approaching the water’s edge.

All under 18s are required to wear a buoyancy aid—no exceptions will be made, and access to the water will be denied without one.

Please note: We do not supply or hire clothing, footwear, or buoyancy aids.

Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a change of clothes to stay safe and comfortable throughout the day.

If you're joining the river float, please bring a suitable flotation device, such as an inflatable air bed, flamingo, dinghy, or paddle board.

Take the time to inflate your float to the correct pressure – this will make your journey safer and more enjoyable.

Pumps are not provided, so please bring your own.

We encourage avoiding single-use plastics – consider reusing or repurposing inflatables or equipment from home or your garden shed.

Bringing a paddle is strongly recommended for ease of navigation.

If you have any damaged inflatables, please place them to one side; our team will do their best to repair or up-cycle them where possible.

Yes – once you reach the end of the inflatable route, there is a short walk to the Scout Hut, where you’ll find refreshments, toilets, and the shuttle bus pick-up point.

The shuttle bus runs approximately every 30 minutes and will continue operating until the last participant is off the water.

There is no extra charge – the shuttle service is included in your ticket price.

Yes, but showers are exclusively for campsite guests. They are not available to day visitors or general festival attendees. Unless agreed with Hereford Rowing Club Staff directly.

Unfortunately, Wye Float does not provide lockers or bag storage facilities. Please plan accordingly and keep personal belongings with you at all times.

On average, the float takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on river conditions and your chosen pace. Please allow extra time for check-in, the safety briefing, and getting to and from the shuttle bus.

Yes – all float participants must sign the written event. This will be completed on the day of the event.

The official safety announcement will take place at 11:45am in front of the main stage.

Participants must arrive before 11:00 am and be ready for a prompt entry into the water at 12:00 pm.

All floats and participants must be inside the main event area by 11:45 am – no late entries will be allowed.

Music festival ticket holders (not taking part in the float) may arrive, leave, and return anytime during the day, as long as they are wearing a valid wristband.

Once you have checked in, please do not wait in the campsite – head directly to the main event area with your float.
